Dorotha Sue “Dottie” Manning, 80, died at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Stonebridge Health Campus.
Born April 28, 1930 in Plainville, she was the daughter of Orva and Susie (Dyer) Hinkle.
A homemaker, she was a long-time member of First Christian Church of Bedford.
Her husband, Walter, whom she married Sept. 3, 1950, survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Connie Pierce and husband Mark of Lexington, Ky.; two grandsons, Michael and Daniel Pierce; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Billy Hinkle.
The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at First Christian Church, the Rev. Bob Dailey officiating. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery.
Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the Day & Carter Mortuary and after 3 p.m. Sunday at the church.
