Mary (Laura) Hyatt Doerrer, a 1966 graduate of WHS, has written a recently released book—”Single, Seventy and Sexless in Seattle!” The author decided to write this book after trying online dating following a long-time marriage and the death of her husband.
“Many women, and men, want to spend it with a significant other, especially as they age,” she says. “The problem is they sometimes need help figuring out exactly how to make this happen. Online dating is the new, or maybe not so new way, (depending on your age and dating experience), to find a true relationship.” The author weaves humor and practical tips on picking the right site, posting appropriate and attractive photos, writing an intriguing profile, and finding the courage to start again.
Mary Hyatt Doerrer grew up in Washington, Indiana, but has lived most of her life in Seattle.
