WEATHERFORD, Texas -- The actor best known for playing Alfalfa Switzer in the 1994 version of the film "The Little Rascals" has been arrested for "huffing".
Brandon "Bug" Hall-Barnett, 35, of Weatherford, Texas, was arrested on June 20 after police were called on June 20 to join emergency medical personnel at the scene of a possible overdose or poisoning. Hall-Barnett was later arrested on suspicion of possession for use to inhale or ingest a volatile chemical, according to a Weatherford Police incident report.
Huffing is a broad term that refers to inhaling fumes or vapors from volatile household chemicals, including paint and other aerosols, to become intoxicated, according to American Addiction Centers.
Hall-Barnett played the role of Alfalfa in the 1994 remake of the movie "The Little Rascals" and went on to play in a number of other films as a child, including "The Big Green", "The Stupids", and "Hercules". In recent years he has made a number of brief appearances in TV series, including "Saving Grace", "CSI: New York", and "Castle".
Hall-Barnett was booked into the Parker County Jail on a $1,500 bond and was released on June 21.
