WTH Graphics Local News

Friends of the Odon Winklepleck Public Library are a volunteer group that assist the Odon Public Library and the director Susan Graber in various ways to provide the community educational and entertainment opportunities. We are looking for new members willing to provide their time and some labor to help us fulfil the library’s goals in serving our community.

Some of the things the Friends do to help are fundraising events such as two book sales a year and occasional bake sales; help with the Summer Reading Program and Preschool Story Hour.

The money we raise is used for purchasing things for the library and programs that are not on the library’s budget. We also decorate the library seasonally providing the decorations and decorate a float and participate in the Old Settler’s Parade.

The residents of Odon and surrounding towns and townships are truly fortunate to have our library and all the services it provides for our community. Besides all the books. there are CDs for movies and music, and the use of computers and wifi service.

If you would like to become a Friend (someone who shows care and concern for another) or ask some questions, please contact the library at 812-636-4949 with your name and number and we will happily return your call. Remember, it is nice to be needed.
