RTL will hold paper drive

Right To Life paper/aluminum can drive will be held Saturday, June 1, in Daviess County from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (note new closing time) at the Tractor Supply Co. parking lot, the old K-Mart parking lot in Washington. This is the main location. In Martin County at the recycling center east of Loogootee, 9 a.m. to noon.

Both Right to Life groups are also accepting aluminum cans for recycling. Daviess County holds its drives on the first Saturday of even months while Martin County holds its drives every month on the first Saturday.

Library will have programs in June

Each Saturday in June at 10:30 a.m. the Washington Carnegie Public Library, 300 W. Main St., will present a 30-minute webcast from the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum that will be about space. The program is open to all ages. Ages 10 and under must be with an adult.
