Washington city council will meet
Washington City Council will meet Monday at 6:30 p.m. in Council Chambers, 200 Harned Ave. Public hearings on ordinances to re-zone real estate near East National Highway and additional appropriations will be held before the regular session.
Items included on the Council agenda include: reading of above ordinances, ordinance amending code of ordinances, and ordinance amending compensation ordinance; abatement request from Wallick Communities; tax abatement renewals for Eagle Railcar, Alliance Barrier, Great Eastern Acquisition and Indiana Municipal Power Agency. The Board of Public Works and Safety meeting will follow to discuss/award contractor bid on the Owner-Occupied Housing Rehab Grant Project.
DC Commissioners will meet Tuesday
Daviess County Commissioners will meet at 9 a.m. Tuesday in the Commissioners’ Room at the courthouse. Items included on the agenda: highway department CR 900E reports; health department reports; ambulance agreement; covered bridge certification.

Senior activities next week at the Washington Senior and Family Services, 211 E. Main St., include:
Monday — Good Samaritan Community Health Services will off A1c blood tests 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Trade bingo begins at 10 a.m., please bring a new item valued at $1-$2 to trade for a bingo prize.
Tuesday — Come in, play cards, games, Wii, watch TV or socialize, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Wednesday — Parkview Village calls bingo at 10 a.m.
Thursday — Odon Healthy Seniors Day, 10 a.m. to noon, with lunch and bingo to follow.
Friday — The American Legion Auxiliary sponsors bingo at 10 a.m. The Matter of Balance program is scheduled 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
