7:29 p.m. - A female caller complained a dog was tangled up in its chain at 108 N.W. Eighth St. The dog appeared in pain. She did not know the breed, but it was a medium-sized dog. Animal control was requested.

COUNTY REPORT

Wednesday

4:29 p.m. - An employee of Chuckle’s in Odon reported a drive-off worth $20 in gas. A black SUV was seen leaving the scene.

3:47 p.m. - A female caller said an unknown van was parked at a driveway at 208 S. Butler St., Elnora. A deputy found a birth certificate in the unlocked van and it belonged to a relative of the caller.

12:20 p.m. - A female caller reported horses were out on her property on E. Buffalo Trail in Odon. The owner was eventually found and the horses were rounded up.

ARRESTS

Jacob E. Harner, 27, Princeton, was arrested by Daviess County Sheriff’s deputies Wednesday on a petition to revoke a suspended sentence for conspiracy to commit dealing in methamphetamine. He was being held at the Daviess County Security Center on $100,000 bond.

Timothy James France, 27, Washington, was arrested by sheriff’s deputies Thursday for strangulation, domestic battery, two counts of battery, criminal confinement, invasion of privacy and interference with reporting of a crime. He was being held without bond.
