Last week the Washington Community Schools Board approved the appointments of Rachel Graber, Olivia Stoll, Brooke Perkins Mackinzee Dottenweich and Viviana Galindo for elementary teaching positions. Delanie Berger (junior high social studies), Cody Chapman (RTZ grant director) and Patricia Quinteros (DLI teacher) were also approved.
The following have resigned from their positions: Laura Allison (reading recovery teacher), Timothy Craddock (NJROTC instructor), Chelsea Bice (elementary aide), Julian Brown (radio/tv assistant), DeWayne Shake (radio/tv instructor), Kelsey Elsey (elementary teacher).
In other business, the Gate 6 supervisor/secretary position was eliminated at the end of the school year.
The junior high academic advisor/counselor position will now be called an assistant principal’s position. Scott Neidigh will assume this new role.
Washington High School foreign language teachers shared information with the board on trips they are planning for 2025 to Spain, Ecuador/Galapagos Islands and France.
