Looking Back: Baltimore and Ohio float
This copy of 8 x 10 black and white photograph is of four unidentified men riding in a horse drawn railroad float in a parade in Washington, Indiana. On the side of the float is written, “Baltimore & Ohio” and “B.R.C. of A. 718.” The Brotherhood of Railroad Carmen of America (BRC) was the national union first organized in 1888 to represent employees who built, repaired or inspected rail cars. Local 718 in Washington, Indiana, represented the employees at the B & O Shops in Washington.
