Looking Back: Bogard family celebrates Labor Day

September 6, 1909, photograph taken of the Bogard family in a horse drawn buggy during a Labor Day parade in Washington. Written on back: “Noah Bogard age 38 Wayne Bogard age 8 is on left. Dude Bogard age 13 on right. Hank Bogard brother to Noah standing in back of buggy.” The horse was named “Dimple.” The house in background was on corner of East Walnut and East Second streets in Washington where the Washington Catholic gym now stands. The notes on the reverse were written by Lillian D. Babrick, mother of Robert Brothers.
