Looking Back: Remodeling factory building

Remodeling factory building

Undated black and white photograph (ca. 1950) of the expansion and remodeling of the factory building on Northeast 21st Street in Washington, Indiana when U.S. Rubber Company expanded its presence in Washington to make rubber-surfaced Raynsters products. U.S. Rubber, which later became Uniroyal, at one time employed up to 500 people in Washington. Uniroyal sold the factory and some equipment to NASCO industries, owned by Neil Smith, in 1978.
