ELNORA — The North Daviess Community Schools board approved several extra-curricular activity positions during its monthly meeting Monday.

Winter sports appointments were made for boys and girls basketball programs. Those added to the coaching rosters include the following for boys basketball: John Mokris (varsity assistant), Thomas Nugent (junior varsity), Braydon Wesner (C team), Logan Wagler (assistant), Brandon Morton (volunteer), Shom Berry (volunteer), Chris Loheider (Future Cougar Players 4-8), Brandon Callison (elementary/junior high assistant), Colton Gregory (seventh grade), Randy Blevins (volunteer), Dusty Terrell (sixth grade), Brian Wagler (fifth grade), John Mullen (assistant), Chris Wagler (FCP second) and Gary Graber (FCP third).

Added to the girls program were Allison Wininger (junior varsity), Shannon Ladd (varsity assistant), Hunter Buehler (varsity assistant), Blake Burkhart (junior high), Larynda Judy (junior high), Kelly Ferguson (elementary), Marjorie Scalf (elementary),  Abby Brown (FCP coordinator), Taylor Walker (FCP), Katelyn Graber (FCP volunteer), Meredith Firestone (FCP volunteer) and Whitney Dyer (FCP vounteer).

Brian McNabb will serve as an assistant for the varsity baseball program and Taylor Spencer will be the junior high cheer coach. She will be assisted by Hannah Woodruff.

Board members also approved the hiring of Brandyn (Brandi) Frederick as a nurse and Dana Hanna for food service.  The resignation of Jennifer Woodruff as an elementary paraprofessional was also accepted as was a maternity leave for Jaycee Wittmer next semester.

In other business, a public hearing was held on the 2022 capital projects plan and school bus replacement plan. ND Superintendent Jodi Berry said those plans are for anticipated needs over the next few years and the school corporation is not mandated to do any of the projects or replace any of the buses in a given year.

After the hearing closed, board members approved the two plans as presented. The next  regular school board meeting will be held Nov. 15 at 7 p.m.
