HUNTINGBURG - The Dubois County Bomber will help League Stadium celebrates its 125th Anniversary this year. The stadium was originally built in 1894 and has served Huntingburg and the community in various capacities since, but has always been home to baseball. The Bombers will celebrate the milestone with a fun weekend of activities before and during their games at League Stadium this weekend July 12-14.
The schedule for the upcoming celebration will be: Friday - Dubois County Bombers v. Franklin Duelers. The Hagedorn Family Band will be entertaining beginning at 6 p.m. with the game beginninging at 7 p.m.
On Saturday, the Bombers play the Owensboro RiverDawgs, along with a Peaches v. Belles girls game. The gals will be in uniform for the rematch of the famous game in ‘A League Of Their Own.' The Bombers will also be having fun with League Stadium history during the evening.
On Sunday, the Bombers play the Hoptown Hoppers, and a new version of Colts In Motion, the Indianapolis Colts’ traveling museum, will be outside of the stadium. The Southridge Raiders baseball team will be recognized as 2019 State Finalists. Evansville Thunderbolts hockey representation will be in the stadium with a SlapShot Inflatable for the kids, along with $1 off admission.
