Three members of the Washington Hatchet baseball team were named All-Big 8 on Tuesday.

Sophomores Trey Reed, Seth Holtsclaw and junior Grant Niehaus were all selected.

Overall, Reed went 7-4 as a pitcher, posting a 2.58 ERA and giving WHS 65 innings of work, with 66 strikeouts. Niehaus had a .371 average with two triples, while Holtsclaw hit .345 with three home run and 25 RBIs.

Also named to the All Big 8 team were Isaac Lane and Jalen Cardinal of Vincennes; Josh Weidenbenner, Trevor Krapf and Andrew Wallace of Jasper; Nick Smith and Luke Conner of Boonville; Bronson Quinzer of Mount Vernon, Gerit Bock of Princeton, and Aden Gill of Mount Carmel (Ill.).

The Jasper Wildcats took the conference ttitle, with a 6-0 mark, while Vincennes was 5-1, Washington was 4-2, Boonville came in at 3-3, Mt. Vernon was 2-4, Mt. Carmel was 1-5 and Princeton finished at 0-6.
