Rook added to All-Area team

Washington Hatchet pitcher John Rook's name was erroneously omitted from the 2019 All-Area baseball team list. Rook, a senior, has been a mainstay on the pitching staff for the last two seasons and posted an impressive tennis career at WHS as well. We apologize for the confusion.

Coaching openings at WC

The Washington Catholic Athletic Department is accepting applications for the following fall coaching positions for the 2019-2020 School Year: JV Volleyball and Middle School Volleyball.

WHS girls named All-Academic

The Washington High School girls tennis team received an All-State team academic award. The guidelines used the top seven players GPA to determine the team average. The Lady Hatchets had one of the highest averages in the state with an overall 3.98 score.

Team awards for the team were also handed out: Co-MVPs and All Conference winners: Ali Barber and Alaina Thorne, Captain Award: Quincee Healy, Newcomer: Kencia Levasseur, Most Improved: Bella Thorne, Coach’s Award: Sophia Davis, and Mental Attitude: Kenli Barber.

Madison earns 2nd varsity letter

In a recent listing of Barr-Reeve spring award winners, Gracie Madison was not listed as having received her second varsity letter award in B-R girls tennis this past spring.
