The Southern Indiana Farm Stock Pullers are back in 2019 and looking forward to another fun year of competition. The SIFSP consists of farm stock tractors such as the International 1466, Ford 9700, John Deere 6030, and Case 1070, just to name a few.

You may have seen them or at least heard of their pulls at Elnora, Montgomery and Loogootee, but they also travel as far away as Edinburgh, and Calhoun, Kentucky, to pull at fairs, fundraisers and even a few indoor winter events.

And they are not all male drivers. There are a few female drivers who are extremely competitive. These farmers really enjoy getting together for not only the competition, but also the camaraderie.

“Of course it is fun to win, but for me it is more about getting together with everyone and talking about the friendly rivalries. I really love to see a puller come away with their first win,” said Dennis Walton of Loogootee.

Just like all other outside events this spring, some of the planned pulls have had to be cancelled. But Mother Nature has finally started to cooperate, allowing for most of the pulls to happen.
