B-R 7th, 8th stay busy

MONTGOMERY — The Barr Reeve seventh grade boys won all three games on the road last week to push their record to 9-0. They beat NE Dubois 45-34. Brody Swartzentruber led them in scoring with 13 points, Seth Wagler had 11, Landon Miller had nine, Isaac Madison had five, Isiah Wittmer had four, Ryan Stoll had two and Dawson Graber had one.

On Thursday they defeated rival North Daviess 25-24. Seth Wagler and Isaac Madison both had seven points, Brody Swartzentruber had four, Landon Miller and Isiah Wittmer had three each and Ryan Stoll had a point. On Saturday they beat Pike Central 34-12. Seth Wagler scored 16 points, Isaac Madison had four, Isiah Wittmer had four, Landon Miller had four, Brody Swartzentruber, Levi Traylor had three and Dawson Graber also had two.

There was a seventh grade B-team game Saturday at Pike Central for 10 minutes with Barr Reeve winning 7-6. Dawson Graber had four points and Alex Wagler had three points.

The Barr Reeve eighth grade (7-2) went 2-1 last week. On Monday they beat NE Dubois 48-30. Ethan Stoll had 11 points, Evan Wehmeier had nine, Brayden Knepp had nine, Alec Wagler had seven, Donnie Miller had six, Pierce Madison had three, Nick Kavanaugh had two, and Kendall Graber had a point. On Thursday they also beat rival North Daviess, 26-18. Donnie Miller ended up with 10 points, Brayden Knepp had nine, Pierce Madison, Ethan Stoll, Nick Kavanaugh had two and Evan Wehmeier had a point.

On Saturday they lost in overtime 33-37 to Pike Central. Donnie Miller hit a 3-pointer to tie the game in regulation and send it to overtime. Brayden Knepp led the way with 12 points, Donnie Miller had 10, Ethan Stoll had five, Evan Wehmeier, Nick Kavanaugh and Alec Wagler also had two points.
