NDJH tennis continues streak
LINTON — The North Daviess junior high tennis team (11-1) picked up junior high road wins at Sullivan on Thursday, as well as at the Bedford Tourney against the hosts and Linton on Saturday morning.
The match versus the Arrows was extremely close as NDJH won 3-2 via wins from Blake Huff and Cam Sassano at two and three singles respectively and the second doubles duo of Aiden Pridemore and Aden Graber.
In the tourney wins versus BNL and Linton, both by a count of 5-0, the line-ups were shaken up, however, as coach John Mullen felt like all eight of his guys who played were on top of their games. Blake Huff won both of his matches at the top singles slot. Max Toy managed wins at both second singles and one doubles while Cam Sassano won at both three and then two sings.
Kadin Stoll and Aiden Pridemore secured a one dubs win with Stoll adding a convincing victory at three singles versus LJHS. Pridemore joined his brother, Braylen, for a No. 2 doubles against the Miners while Aden Graber and Rex Freed beat Bedford in doubles and Graber teamed with Toy for the one doubles win. The boys finish their season on the road at Barr-Reeve and at Loogootee.
