ND gets Senior Night win
ELNORA — The North Daviess Cougar volleyball team picked up a three set win on Senior Night, with a 25-19, 25-18, 25-21 victory over South Knox.
“It was a great way to end regular season, with a win on senior night. It was great to win in three sets on a night honoring Kaylan Craven and Jaryn Gingerich,” said ND coach Gina Ingrahm. “The girls played hard and were determined to win on our last regular season match going into Sectional. Jaryn , Megan Marner and Mya Knepp served very well tonight. I felt Macey Wagler played exceptionally well defensively. Macey is not a big player, but works very well with her ability. She is our setter is is focused on hustling and talking for every play, tonight she had a big block and some good saves. At the net, I felt we were more confident tonight. Dakota, Mya and Megan did a solid job of finding the court. Our hitters can be more consistent if our passers are dialed in and Kaylan and Megan were reading hitters nicely in the back row. “
Leading the Cougars was, Kaylan Craven with four aces, five kills, eight digs; Jaryn Gingerich: four aces, one assist, three kills, two digs, Megan Marner had one ace, three kills, two digs; Mya Knepp had four aces, 13 kills, five digs; Dakota McNabb had eight kills, one block, three digs; Macey Wagler had two kills, 30 assists, six digs, one block; Reagan Knepp had an ace, a dig; and Emma Sargent had a dig.
